Climate adaptation and green urban solutions

Nature-based solutions, blue-green infrastructure and managing urban heat — from international good practice, adapted locally, tailored to the district’s own conditions.

In progress

EUI Athens – Cooling Havens

Budapest’s 18th District joined the European Union project Cooling Havens as a Transfer Partner, entering an international cooperation that aims to ease the effects of urban heatwaves with innovative and community-led solutions.

Through the partnership we get to know good practices that help us develop nature-based answers tailored to our own district, addressing extreme summer heat and the lack of green areas.
